These were taken after the space shuttle Columbia exploded. We went to the memorial to pay our respects. Our community came togther for weeks to mourn the astronauts killed in that accident. Here is a walk through some of what we experienced.
Wow - that was such a sad event. Thank you so much for sharing the community out-pour.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed Saturday.
oh wow, i didn't realize you lived so close to that. even here, where i am, we were very much aware of how tragic this was for everyone. it certainly does show how at these times, a community is formed. you don't necessarily have to live there to feel the loss and understand the heartache of those involved.
ReplyDeletei'm doing the hunt today as well.
That was a really tragic happening.
ReplyDeleteMy photo is up too. Enjoy your weekend!

Oh wow... those are so touching! Nothing brings a community together like tragedy.
ReplyDeleteAmazing how quickly that corner filled up with flowers, wasn't it. Excellent example of community.
ReplyDeleteThat was the strangest thing.... so many people, but so quiet... and all the flowers and signs and just outpouring.... It was amazing
ReplyDeleteWow! The community really did pull together through that.
ReplyDeleteOh yes........it makes me take a few moments and contemplate what life really is!!---*gooseflesh*.
ReplyDeleteAnd the sad part is, it takes a tragedy like this to make a country bow and thank the people who serve the community and country --instead of doing it daily!!! (and I'm a guilty one too).
This is just a great way to show your community. Thank you.
My Saturday Photo is up.
