Count your blessings!!!

Have you ever had one of those days that you really thought God was trying to show you just how blessed you really are? How you should be thankful for everything you have. I am not just talking materialistic here either. I mean thankful you woke up and can see,hear,breathe,etc... Thankful for your family. As well as everything God trusts you with like your house, car etc...

Today was so like that for me today. I went in to work only to find out that a friend (one that I hang out with daily) was in the hospital. Apparently his house caught fire last night and he is in the hospital for smoke inhalation. he called me from the hospital sounding like Darth Vader. He is talking through a breathing machine. They are giving him breathing treatments every two hours. He said he is not feeling very good which can definitely be expected. The very cool thing about all this was the blessing that God gave them. he said his oldest son ( 9 years old) did not have school today so he let him and their 3 yr. old stay up and watch a movie. He said the 9yr. old fell asleep but not the 3 yr. old ...That is how they knew that the living room was on fire. Thank The Lord that little boy knew to run and tell his parents. That is such a blessing because that kid barely talks. My friend Mike got all three of his kids and his wife out of the house safely but now is in the hospital recovering. When he called me today and I asked what he needed ,all he asked for was prayer. I told him to count on lots of that for sure. So if you would all help me pray for that family and for a fast recovery for Mike it would be so appreciated.

The day of counting my blessings did not stop there. Guppy's co-worker's daughter got in a car accident. I got that news pretty soon after the other. She has a mild concussion but is resting and doing good from the news I last got. Still was a scary situation there for a bit.

Thennnnnn a lady from work that has been out for awhile with what they thought was a brain aneurysm but turned out to be a vessel burst at the base of her brain or something. She came in via her husband today being pushed in a wheelchair. It was so pitiful seeing her in that state. She actually looked like she was born mentally retarded. She could talk a little but I really don't think she knew who any of us talking to her actually were. I have been praying for her for awhile now, I am praying for a full recovery for her. She has been going through rehab now. The problem is that she is regaining some memory and she keeps trying to get up and walk, thinking that she can. We just need to pray for her care, safety and full recovery.

I am just SOOOOO very thankful to God for all my many ,many blessings.

*****UPDATE!!!******

Guppy and I ,along with my friend Nicole and her brother ,went to see Mike tonight in the hospital. We gave him a hard time and told him he didn't have to be so dramatic to get out of inventory at work ..lol He laughed. He was in good spirits. Still had his crazy sense of humor which is awesome. He is such a nut I was glad to see he still is. All they lost was pretty much the tv,stereo,x-box,playstation,dvd player ...etc....The living room is gone. We all agreed that is way better then it could have been. ie... the kids etc...He has suffered some damage to the lungs so they are watching him closely. Please keep him in your prayers.
