  7. Yes, great list.
And although I grew up in the '60's, I do remember these, at least some of them. Who could forget little Clara Pellar and her "Where's the beef?" as well as "I don't think anybody's really back there."

    Here from Michele.

  14. Oh I wanted to BE Punky Brewster SOOOO bad! My mom had the BEST jelly shoes - they had super long laces that you could criss-cross up your legs and tie them just below the knee.

Oh, so many good memories. Or scary memories. I'm not sure which.

Acid wash Jordache jeans and high tops were pretty much my uniform back then, too. Wow. BUT, I was never a Bon Jovi fan. I liked country music, which made me super uncool. I even did a lip synch in grade 4 to the song "I was country when Country wasn't cool" by Barbara Mandrell. I was so proud.

Thanks for the fun trip down memory lane! :D

  19. I pre-date the 80's by way too many years - but I always thought Jon was really cute and he's a good actor too.

  20. I'm way too old to be an 80's kid, I'm more of a 60's kid myself. But I sure remember a lot of your stuff, and I've done a lot of it myself. Yellow Reebok hightops with the velcor closures, neon clothing, banana clips, spiked bangs, t'shirts with the collars and sleeves ripped off, "You're a Maniac, Maniac..",
all those commercials, and yes, every frigging John Hughs movie ever made.

Never mind that the 80's had the BEST MUSIC ever.

    Here via Michele.

I still wear the scrunchy socks. They're so cozy around the house. I still have spandex, although I would never dream in wearing it out in public.
