Football Made Easy ..lol

Football FINALLY makes sense.......... A guy took his blonde girlfriend
to her first football game. They had great seats right behind their
team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.

Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants
and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were
killing each other over 25 cents."

Dumbfounded, her date asked, "What do you mean?"

Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of
the game, all they kept screaming was: 'Get the quarterback! Get the
quarterback!' I'm like...Helloooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!!

Kentucky Girl & Update on me

Well being a girl after my own heart.I just HAD to have her as this weeks tenant.I too, am from Kentucky and often wish I was living there now.It is a very beautiful state.Contrary to popular belief, all Kentucky women do not stay barefoot and pregnant...Some of use do aspire to do more then that.My tenant is from California but raised in Kentucky ...lives in Cali now and wants to be back in Kentucky..I can not say that I blame her in the slightest.I love the country....

Today my poor tenant has the Blah Blah's ....Can you go by and give her a little cheering up?

***Update***
I went to see the Urologist yesterday and I am feeling very optimistic.I liked him a lot.He really put me at ease.For one by telling me he has seen bigger cysts..lol While all the other Dr.'s kept acting like it was the biggest they had ever seen.I have a mass of cysts ( he made me and Guppy look at them on the CT scan films..it was freaky) That reach from right under my lungs ,fills my whole abdomen down to my uterus ...It is pretty wild.It has my right kidney squished like a little pancake and my bowels are moved over to the side.It is pretty much taking up my whole abdomen and touching everything in there in one way or another.He is wanting to still figure out what it is coming off of...My Kidney,pancreas,etc...He has me scheduled for a MRI on monday.I take the disc from that to him Tuesday.I go Wednesday for pre OP procedures...EKG, blood pressure,blood work ,etc...and if that all comes out fine then on Monday the 13th of February ,I will go into the operating room for a "non-cutting surgery", is what the Dr called it.He will put in a catheter (sp?) and run dye to my kidney and something else too ..lol I can't remember.Luckily they will be putting me out for that lil bit of fun.Hopefully, soon we will get to the bottom of where exactly this thing is attached so we know better what to do with it.He did suggest that it could even be full of Urine.How gross is that? Talking about bloated to the max ..lol Wow what a story that will be if it is true..lol They are researching the possibility of drawing some fluid out with a needle.If that is going to happen ...I really hope they knock me out for that one too.He did say that the general surgeon,the radiologist, his college, and himself have all looked at it, and discussed it, and it does not have cancerous characteristics.Praise God for that!!!!Soooo that is the update so far.Thanks for all the prayers.I know they are working because I have been surprisingly at peace ...Knowing God is in control of everything.That is huge for me...I use to fear everything.God is doing a mighty work in me.I know that this will be used to Glorify his name...

What a Goober!!!

Well I have no great story and I can't decide what to write about so it is going to be another random thought post...

First off ..we were at the grocery store last night and I found out that Guppy has never had Smucker's Goober before.I was shocked.Poor Guppy has been so deprived.He told me he has never been able to get anyone to buy it for him.Well being the loving wife that I am ...I bought him some of course.(still wondering why he never bought any himself?) Do any of you remember this stuff?:



Next we are still trying to figure out how to teach lil one not to lie about EVERYTHING.That has been quite the task.She lied about a stupid nacho last night.
We still have not figured out why .Mainly because the answer to EVERYTHING for her is "I don't know". Apparently she "doesn't know " just about anything you ask her.

on a lighter note here are some phrases she used yesterday that we thought funny and odd.She says she just made them up herself.Who knows....

she said "I am will just get straight up evil on you" ( WTH?..we are very curious where that phrase come from.I am going to venture to guess she did NOT come up with that one alone.My guess would be a cartoon.

she said "she did not have one entire clue" ( she only had a partial clue apparently..lol)

She was telling me that this little boy named Cooper was a "hottie"..I was like oh really ...I asked her if she knew what it meant and she said it meant he was so funny ...lol I asked her where she got that from and she said her aunt said cooper was a "hottie".


I got my lab results back from my thyroid level testing and they were all in normal level range.WOOT, WOOT...Praise God for that.They said they were borderline high and he just wanted to see me in 3 months.Easy enough and a relief..

I go tomorrow to talk to the Urologist...please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

I am having a blast getting a care package ready for Brian and Matt.Brian said I would really make his day if I sent some homemade peanut butter fudge...Oh boy ..He would ask for something I have never made in my life ,nor do I have a recipe for..lol
Luckily my best friend's grandmother has a recipe for some and she got that for me.
Nicole also made some very yummy oatmeal raisin cookies to send them.They are soooo good.Guppy is a very picky cookie eater and she had to make him his own little stash of them ...Which he did not share at all I might add..lol
Anyway , I will be attempting this fudge today so we can get the box sent out tomorrow morning before I go to the doctor.Wish me luck.I am praying the fudge comes out perfectly.

Today we are going over to clean my MIL house and possibly shoot off lil ones rockets.If there is no wind we may just have blast off.

Oh yeah and I am counting down till my birthday ...I will be turning 31 this Friday.We are going to have a birthday party on Saturday...I am excited.I have not had a birthday party since I moved here in 2002.I am all about the birthday parties:)

And last but most certainly NOT least...February 15th will mark my one year anniversary of my decision to quit smoking ...Yeahhhhhh smoke free for a whole year.
I can say that I have felt so much better too...I have more energy and I most definitely smell and breathe better :) YEAHHHHH ME!!!!!

Be thankful for what you have ....EVERYDAY!!

I really had a huge reminder of the fact that we all should be thankful for what we have ...each and every day.The fact that we should not sweat the small stuff...And really in the big scheme of it all .It usually is all small stuff.The fact that we should not go to bed angry.We should not hold grudges or judge someone for choices they may have made...causing you and that person to no longer be on speaking terms.ESPECIALLY when it comes to family.

You see ...one of my managers at work just lost her daughter a few days ago.She was shot and killed.The girl was only 19.Her life had basically just begun.She had two precious lil girls.One only 6 months old.She had just got to expierence the joy of watching her baby girl learn to crawl last week.Her other little girl is 2 ...Her birthday is today.The eve of her mothers viewing.They have so far ruled the shooting to be an accident.The story is that her boyfriend was cleaning his gun and it went off ...shooting and killing this 19 year old mom.The baby was sitting beside her on the couch when her mom was shot.Praise God that baby was not hurt.My manager ,as can be expected, is beside herself.I can not even begin to fathom how it would feel to loose a child to anything,let alone an accident like that.CPS has the girls now.Apparently,this is normal for things like this.We are praying that my manager(the grandmother)will get them.I can not even imagine what those two little girls are feeling right now.whisked away to a strange place with strange people.

You see...just last year,this manager did not know where her daughter was,nor the grandkids.They were not on speaking terms for whatever reason.I heard that she did not like the boyfriend but that was not ever confirmed to me personally.It does not really matter the reason.What is reality now is that her oldest daughter is dead and time was lost over anger or bitterness.I encourage each and everyone of you to look at maybe some situations of anger or bitterness and think to yourself "Is this really worth loosing precious time over".None of us know when it is our time.Noone knows when God will call us home.We can however, make the most of this life and what he has blessed us with while we are here.

God Bless each of you and please help lift up this family in prayer.They are all in need of comfort and peace that only the Lord can give.

Man it is 6:13 and I am starving...I really should start eating lunch later then I do.I eat at 11:00 ..well a little after, and by dinner time I am starving.I am craving this so badly :



Tonight we are ordering some of these and Gup is gonna go pick them up.That way we can get all cozy and settle in to eat the yummy ,yummy goodness of fajitas while watching some more people make fools of themselves on American Idol.



It is looking like it might just be a relaxing night.My lower back is hurting and I am going to relax on the heated massager after dinner.

God is good all the time,all the time God is good !!

Well God is faithful that is for sure.I know I have had so many people praying for me and I appreciate it so much.Everyone has been such a blessing.I went to see the Endocronologist( I am sure I did not spell that right at all ..lol ) today to hear what he had to say about my thyroid testing.He has told me that it is in no way shape or form cancer ( Praise you Jesus) and that they do not need a biopsy and he will not put me on meds even , unless the blood work he sent off today shows either low or elevated thyroid counts.He told me that sometimes after a CT scan the iodine they use in the dye injection will interfere with your thyroid and it could have my levels off.He said that if it was low that he would have to get me on meds especially before I go into surgery.I am just so thankful and relieved.I am thanking the Lord for all my blessings for sure.Thank you to each of you that have kept me in your thoughts or prayers.I wanted you to know how much I truly appreciate it.Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers ..I go to see the Urologist(sp?) about this kidney cyst on monday.

I will start out with a meme- like thingy I seen over at Xtessa's place.I thought it was a cute idea for a day that I was having bloggers block.No time like the present:) It started as a SPF ..Stuff Portrait Friday ...but I missed it on friday and besides, who cares what day I post it right..lol I hope she does not mind me changing it up a little.So the assignment was to post pictures of your toothbrush ,towels and lotions. The theme was AFTER BATH..Easy enough ,I thought, so I did it ...

First is my toothbrush..I figured it would look lonely by itself so I took a pic of the toothpaste too.(sorry this pic came out a little dark for some reason)





Next is a picture of the towels.They are not all color coordinated but they are clean :)and hole free..lol The top one is a Brats towel of lil ones...I must admit that I like to use hers on my hair.They are much much thinner and not as heavy when used to wrap your hair on top after a shower.




This next picture if stuff I use while in the shower for my body( the sea salt scrub) and face cleanser...the rest is after shower for face...toner,serum,day cream etc...All of it is Arbonne product...great stuff.It is the anti aging line.Even though I am only 30 I feel you can not start to early ..lol


Next is a picture of some of my smell good lotions that would go on after the above stuff .It all depends on my mood really .Can you tell I like Bath and Body Works and Victoria Secrets lotion?....Wanna know a secret though?My all time favorite lotion is just plain ol' Nivea :)

Birthday countdown and Barbie wishlist

Well I am one of THOSE people..lol You know the ones that count down to their birthday and then have a whole birthday week.I use to always take the day off of school and as I got older I would always take a personal day off at work. That day was all about me...lol I am not a selfish person normally but I must admit that on that day I like it to be all about me :) That could be terrible but it's truth. I figure God doesn't make mistakes or junk , it is the day I was born and THAT is reason to celebrate!!! So in 13 days on February 3rd I will be turning 31!!! Last year when I turned 30 I was so bummed that I was no longer considered a 20 something individual. Now only a year later I am thankful for the fact that I am turning 31 and hope and pray that I get many more years to enjoy Life and God's wonderful blessings and creations. It really amazes me how much I have grown spiritually and emotionally in just one years time.I sometimes look at teens today and think ..."Man it just seems like yesterday that I was your age." I think of how much different they are today then when I was their age and it sometimes makes me feel a lil old ..lol All in all though ..I still feel young and full of life ...Sometimes younger then I should I am sure ..lol Speaking of younger then I should ...Some of you know that I collect Barbies and have for many years now...I decided to post a Barbie wishlist just for fun ..

The Family

John and Monica Kubena have a full house; four children including a set of identical twins, Sara and Tara who are battling Leukemia. Doctors are baffled at the statistical rarity for both twins to have the same non-genetic disease. With mounting medical bills for the twins, travel back and forth to MD Anderson Cancer Center in downtown Houston, and lengthy hospital stays for both girls, the Kubena’s have moved into a two-bedroom trailer adjacent to John’s dad. In addition to the lack of space, Tara has been unable to return home to her family due to the special air quality needs that she requires.

Holy Italian Meatloaf Batman!!!!!

We just witnessed a true miracle tonight ...Lil one ate two helpings of her meat tonight and really wanted thirds.Ok ...That like NEVER happens with her and meat.She may eat a little triple cheeseburger from McDonalds once in a blue moon but as far as meat at supper time ...No way....I am definately keeping this as one of our meals now..lol I wanted to try a meat loaf recipe that I seen on the back of a stuffing box last time we had it ,so I got the stuff tonight and made this wonderful Italian meatloaf...Guppy and I both really liked it but lil one went nuts over it ..lol It was funny to see, actually.I also made mixed veggies( sweet white corn,broccoli,carrots and the cute little baby corn on the cob thingies).She cleared her whole plate totally clean and then requested more meat instead of veggies...That child AlWAYS wants more veggies...So I know a recipe has to be a darn good one for her to go that crazy over it.I will take some to work tomorrow to test it out on my co-workers..lol

I decided to go ahead and post the recipe just incase any of you wanted to try this miracle meatloaf..lol It is super duper easy and you can just pop it in the oven, set the timer,go surf some blogs and ,viola ...all done ...


Italian Style Meat Loaves:

Prep:10 minutes (if even) Bake time 30 minutes ( give or take )

2lbs. ground beef ( we use super duper extra lean)
1pkg.(6oz) Stove Top stuffing Mix Italian Style with Roasted Garlic
1/2 Cup water
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 jar (14oz)spaghetti sauce,divided ( just get your favorite spaghetti sauce and use 1 cup in meat loaf and 3/4 cup on top of all the loaves)


1. Mix all ingredients except 3/4 cup of the spaghetti sauce.

2.Shape meat mixture into 4 oval loaves in foil-lined shallow baking pan;top with remaining 3/4 cup spaghetti sauce.

3.Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes or until centers are no longer pink.Cut into slices to serve.


We were thinking tonight that some kind of pasta side would have went great with this ...I will have to play around and experiment with it some ..I always end up altering things and cooking different sides until I find the best combo ...

Remember back when ......when things were so much simpler.Back when you actually knew your neighbors...Back when you actually trusted mankind for the most part.
Back before everyone was out looking for a reason to either hate ...or sue someone else.Ahhhhhhhh , the good old days.

We were driving over to my MIL house to clean today when we passed a little girl ,(about 6 or 7 years old) with a lemonade stand ..I thought, aweee that is so cute ...You just don't see that much anymore..Upon further inspection as we got closer I noticed she was wearing rubber gloves...That just was so funny to me. Is that what we have come to? A world were little girls with her little lemonade stand has to wear rubber gloves? WOW!!! I sure do miss the good old days.

It's Saturday people....

Yeah it is finally the weekend!!My last week was a little long and I for one am glad that it is Saturday!!! Although with lil one in trouble for telling lies ,it is bound to be quite the long weekend as well.Why is it at 7 years old kids can not realize that telling the truth will get you in so much less trouble then being busted in lie after lie.Why is it that after being told that The grown ups already know the truth, and now all you have to do is say it ...you still can't tell the truth.I remember at a very early age, learning that telling the truth was my only option.My dad had a zero tolerance policy for liars.He always and I mean ALWAYS found out the truth before ever asking me what the truth was..lol I learned this quickly as well.I am hoping little one learns it fast too.I hate when her whole weekend consists of being grounded and in trouble.It sucks so bad ,especially since we were going to go out and launch her rockets that she got for Christmas.Guppy was really looking forward to that.Now she will spend her day cleaning her room and writing sentences and sitting alone with time to think about telling the truth.As much as discipline sucks for them, I think it sucks for the parents even more.I know it has to be done though.If you let problems just slide and push them under the rug because you do not want to deal with it.Or because you want to keep the "peace". Pretty soon you will have a pile under that rug so huge you won't be able to see over it.Then you will have huge problems that are even more difficult to deal with.I am looking forward to her being a well rounded and a wonderful teen to be around.I know that suffering through this not-fun-at-all yucky stuff is going to grow her into a respectable teen and young adult.So while it is no fun now ..I could look at it as a blessing.An oppurtunity to watch her character grow.

Have you stopped and smelled the Tampons?

Maybe I'm just crazy- Ok, Well I am crazy.

Maybe it's because I'm allergic to everything possible...

But the thought of perfume injected tampons just sounds painful. They were handing out little cards the other day at Wal-Mart that was like a little pull and sniff thing and it smelled like a powdery floral piece of candy. Putting a perfumey tampon in is like the equivelent of spraying rose sceneted spray when you take a poop.... what is the point of that?

Has anybody tried thes? It just sounds dangerous.

Are there people out there who actually need this? And who is going to be down there sniffing it while you are on your period. If it's so bad you can smell it yourself, do you think it might be time for a papsmear?

A growing girl ....

Well little one is back home now for the week after being gone for two.Guppy and his ex kind of split the holiday season different this year.It was kind of cool to have her for two weeks prior to Christmas but two weeks away from her seemed like forever.She is so fun to have around.I love making meals that she loves ..She gets so excited over it.Today I chose one of her very favorites ,tacos.It runs a close second with cheeseburgers and broccoli,she loves that combo and of course I love cooking her fresh veggies.She also loves lima beans ...lol You just have to love a kid that is so fond of veggies.I think that is thanks to her mom. Guppy said she used to make lil ones baby food out of fresh veggies and fruits.Like steam them and mash them.All I know is she never will fight ya on eating her veggies.Meat is a different story ..lol but not eating meat is not such a bad thing .She eats enough peanut butter and beans to get the protien she needs.She can eat her weight in both.Tonight, we had tacos and everyone made their own.She LOVES being a big girl and making her own.That is probably a huge part of why that meal is one of her favorites.That child ate 6 tacos some nachos and two glasses of milk.Which is more then what Guppy and I combined had to eat.Holy cow that child eats like a growing teenage boy when she is about to have a growth spurt.It figures though....Everytime someone buys her some new clothes she will go through a huge growth spurt...That is just part of it I suppose.

Home from work ...

I stayed home from work ...wasn't feeling so hot this morning.I am not really sure if it is me physically or emotionally/spiritually...It may be in my head about this surgeory that I am semi nervous about.I know that God will take care of me and that it is in his hands but I am still human with still human emotion and fear. I am working on fear but have not yet totally arrived in that area yet. God will get me there in due time I know.So any extra prayers that way would be appreciated as well..I feel so needy lately and I guess I am. I have to realize it is ok to be needy sometimes.I am so use to being the one needed that I forget that sometimes.

Anyway...on a lighter note ,I wanted to thank my new Landlord for writing up such a nice post on my blog.I do not know it it is just be being a dingbat or if she has it set up to not take any comments.Either way I could not leave one there to tell her thanks :) So thanks Cat ...I am glad you enjoyed your stay here.Everyone go on over and check her out .She has a very nice blog.Although I am not so sure you can tell her so ..lol I couldn't figure out how to but maybe you can :) If anyone does let me know..

Meeting with the surgeon

We went to meet with the general surgeon yesterday about the results of my CT scan.He said he wanted to go to the hospital and talk with the radiologist and look at the images himself.He was reading the results and feeling my right side and was saying it was huge.From what I can gather they are thinking the mass of cysts are about the length of a football ..we are not sure how wide.He was talking about maybe even having a second surgeon there but we are just not sure until he has a look at the images himself.I am still just trusting God in this whole situation.I know he will take care of me .I am still praying it is not cancer at all and that they can go in and get it all out with no complications.If there are any praying bloggers out there we would really appreciate any prayers for this .I am holding on and praying a certian scripture for me .It is Isaiah 41:10 and 41-13
10:So do not fear,for I am with you ;do not be dismayed,for I am your God.I will strengthen you and help you ;I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Random Monday

Yeah me!!!! ..I have made it two days so far this year and have yet to write down 2005..

Now that I said that it will probably happen...

What is up with it being in the 80's in JANUARY..why ...why... why ?I am so much of a cold weather type of girl.

I am loving my new Valentine skin that my honey made for me....Thank you baby :)

I am getting the scrapbooking bug again ..lol I actually have a friend that just did her fist layout ..I am so excited that I may now have a scrappin buddy :)

This year has gone great for me so far,I am truly blessed.

We are still in the middle of remodeling the main bathroom and it is starting to really take shape now..I think I am going to like it .

I need to take some pics soon.

I think we lost the before pics when Guppy's pc crashed :(

We really must save pictures to disk a lot more often.

Lil one is at her moms for another week and we sure are missing her.

My mother in law is off skiing in Switzerland...

I think they both have become more of Guppy's pets then lil ones...
I think she is pretty much over the excitement ...

They are not as playful as the two dogs , whom she LOVES very much ...

I no longer receive packages from nor send packages by UPS
or FedEx since they are actually Al Qaeda in disguise.

I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to
dial a number for which I will get a phone bill with calls to Jamaica,
Uganda, Singapore, and Uzbekistan.

I no longer eat KFC because their "chickens " are actually horrible
mutant freaks with no eyes or feathers.

I no longer have any sneakers -- but that will change once I
receive my free replacement pair from Nike.

I no longer have to buy expensive cookies from Neiman Marcus
since I now have their recipe.

I no longer worry about my soul because at last count I have
363,214 angels looking out for me.

Thanks to you, I have learned that God only answers my
prayers if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make
a wish within five minutes.

I no longer have any savings because I gave it to a sick girl who
is about to die in the hospital (for the 1,387,258th time)

I no longer have any money at all - but that will change once I
receive the $15,000 that Microsoft and AOL are sending me for
participating in their special email program.

Yes, I want to thank you so much for looking out for me that I
will now return the favor!

I f you don't send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the
next 7 minutes, a large pigeon with a wicked case of diarrhea

The Lil Angel's Christmas Play & Happy New Year

I just realized that I never did get a chance to blog about lil one's Christmas play ... It was very cool .It was really quite the production for a childrens Christmas play.They had three months of practice if that tells you anything.They all did a great job although I was quite partial to one lil angel in particular :) Here are a few pics of the little one ....

Chocolate bribes :-)

Man, I have learned this week that the power of chocolate is very great. Much greater than I ever imagined..lol I found that at work I can use it to get what I want ..lol from management and fellow associates.So needless to say I will keep chocolate in full supply in my office candy box.It is like a drug to some of these people.Some of them come in my office and get some from the box all day long ..It is a wonder some are even able to fit through the door after a days work ..lol I also have found it is the MEN that are the worse ones. I guess most men are not as worried about thier figure as women are..lol I am starting to have some thoughts that maybe the candy companies inject the stuff with highly addictive narcotics..lol I have even met people that are allergic to the stuff but couldn't put it down ..lol Like breaking out into hives was worth the few seconds of chocolaty bliss.Do I have any extreme chocolate fans as readers?Tell me your thoughts or experiences...I would love to hear them.

A variety of Christian music ....

Well we have been on a search for some Christian rock bands for Guppy the last few days ...
We listen to the local Christian radio station ..it is mainly contemporary ,which I like personally ..I like all types actually, but I could listen to it alot more then him I think ..He is wanting some that is a little harder rock ..We got some good suggestions from some of his readers and have also found some of our own :)

He found some online christian radio stations called : Christianrock.net ,Christianhardrock.net, and Christian-hiphop.net....
The one he is listening to is the hardrock one of course..lol It is actually pretty cool .We have found a few of the harder rock bands now .....
Disciple,Demon Hunter,and Skillet are just a few .....Flyleaf seems to have some good listening potential as well.
Anyone that likes Christian music and likes to listen to tunes while blogging ..I recomend trying one of these ...
I will go enjoy my jars of clay and casting crowns and stuff ..lol I also had a friend give me a cd of a band named Tree 63 which I recomend as well ....
Anyone know of any more good bands that are not really top 40 stuff?

WOW!!!

It seems like this Christmas came and went in a flash. I was so busy with everything that I didn't even get to enjoy my new blog skin ..lol I hope you all did :) I hope each and every one of you had a wonderful Christmas.I had an awesome one ..Despite the fact that I miss my family terribly and can not be with them during the holidays ..It was still a great Christmas.My preacher said something that really hit me on Christmas Eve..He said if Christmas is all about the family for you ..then you are almost without fail going to be disappointed.That is so true..If Christ is not your sole focus for the Christmas season then you are setting your self up for hurt or disappointment.If he is ..then you will have a great Christmas regardless of your situation...I think that is a very awesome realization.

Well I hope you are all recovering from the hectic season well....I have decided since I did not get to enjoy my skin hardly at all ...I will keep it up atleast until New Years :) ...I will be visiting you all soon...

The Legend of the Candy Cane

A candymaker in Indiana wanted to make a candy that would be a witness, so he made the Christmas Candy Cane. He incorporated several symbols from the birth, ministry, and death of Jesus Christ.

He began with a stick of pure white, hard candy. White to symbolize the Virgin Birth and the sinless nature of Jesus, and hard to symbolize the Solid Rock, the foundation of the Church, and firmness of the promises of God.

The candymaker made the candy in the form of a "J" to represent the precious name of Jesus, who came to earth as our Savior. It could also represent the staff of the "Good Shepherd" with which He reaches down into the ditches of the world to lift out the fallen lambs who, like all sheep, have gone astray.

Thinking that the candy was somewhat plain, the candymaker stained it with red stripes. He used three small stripes to show the stripes of the scourging Jesus received by which we are healed. The large red stripe was for the blood shed by Christ on the cross so that we could have the promise of eternal life.

Unfortunately, the candy became known as a Candy Cane -- a meaningless decoration seen at Christmas time. But the meaning is still there for those who "have eyes to see and ears to hear." Every time you see a Candy Cane, remember the Wonder of Jesus and His Great Love that came down at Christmas, and that His Love remains the ultimate and dominant force in the universe today

A leotard,a donkey, oil and baby Jesus ..lol

Well it is Wednesday and Christmas is fast approaching.There seems to be a million and one things to do .Every year I tell myself ..."Next year I will be more prepared"...yeah right..lol That never happens.Always seems like a mad dash at the very end to get a hundred and one things done..lol To top it all off we are on a quest to find a white leotard.The Angel costume for the play is totally see through and they want them in leotards so they can change into the last acts clothes with no problems. No panties showing that way.They can all change together in one big room.That doesn't seem like a huge deal but I am finding out that white leotards are very hard to find.It seems that pink and black are the colors of choice for stores to carry.So that is what we are dealing with right now..lol Anyone got any suggestions? We have tried Wal-mart and Target.I am thinking next I will call Burlington coat factory...Also ...we had a blast in Bethlehem Monday night.It was so great to watch lil one's reaction to everything.To see things through a childs eyes is the coolest thing ...It is what makes life so much fun :)

This, that and the other ...

Well it has been a good weekend .Despite the fact I feel like I have had cotton balls shoved up my nostrils again.I got the pleasure of getting lil ones cold :)Oh joy of joys ..lol Let's see ohhh and despite the fact that yesterday we went to watch lil one practice for her play next week and while leaving I fell flat on my face.Oh that was fun .....not .I was sooooooooooo embarrassed.All I could do it get up cry and run off from everyone as fast as I could.Oh man I felt stupid.I am blaming it on being so sick and my head being swimmy (is that even a word..lol ,it looks funny ) Oh well ..it is now..lmao oh yeah and the slop in the floor that I tripped over.My friend told me atleast you did it at church and not at work where everyone would have laughed at you ..lol Which is very true.Lil one went to the Nutcracker ballet with gramma ( Mighty Mite) and we went to church and then Guppy ,my friend from work that I will call Mrs.Backe ..lol ( she loves Brandon Backe) and I went to a walk through Bethlehem which was sooo awesome.We have never been but have wanted to go for several years now.I would totally recommend it to everyone. We also went to the drive through one after that .That was pretty cool also ,but would have been alot cooler had we not just done the walk through one .The walk through was very interactive which was very cool .We got to pet a camel ,a donkey and some sheep.We are going to take the lil one tommorrow I bet she will have a blast. She just watched the Gospel of John a few weekends ago so to be in that scene will be very cool for her I think.

Well we are half way through the Survivor finale and had to stop to eat some chicken..lol Did anyone else get hungry for chicken after watching that ? Anyway, we made dinner and now we are off to see if it is Steph or Danni that takes home the million.I like them both so I am happy either way.

Thanks to each and every one of you that kept us in your thoughts and prayers.God is definately an Awesome God !!! Test results came back the best they could have for knowing that there was something in both my abdomen and neck for sure. Neither appeared cancerous or alarming. I have never been so happy to hear that I will probably have surgey.I will take that over hearing the other any day .I tell you ..when waiting to hear what the results would be. It sure did put a very different perspective on life for me. Things like this tend to draw you closer to God and family. They definately make you thankful for each and every second you are breathing. Thank you again and God bless... I will post again soon .Thanks to all that have been hanging in there even when I am not able to post regularly :)

Overdose?

Ok I told you guys that Gup and I went to the eye doctor on our anniversary right? Well I got some new glasses along with a new prescription. She gave me some eye drops for itchy eyes. With as many things as I am allergic to, my eyes tend to itch a lot. Well we fill the script the other day ,and I get to reading about it. It actually says you can overdose on the stuff. On friggen eye drops? How in the world would you overdose on an eyedrop? If you did ,what would it do ? Blind you ?I had to laugh at that .I am sure if there is someone out there that actually HAS overdosed on it, it would not be funny ..but man it is bizarre. It also says not to breast feed while taking them? Are you kidding me? I know women that drink while breast feeding and they are saying you can not put some drops in your eyes? Wow, I never thought about an eye drop making it to your blood stream . This goes down as one of those things that most certainly makes me go... HMMMMMMMMMM??????Has anyone ever heard of this before?

camping out at Wally World

As most of you know, I work at Wal-mart and have for several years( 12 to be exact ..lol).This makes for some pretty funny happenings at times,especially at holiday time.
Today happened to be one of those funny moments.Apparently the brand new game system,X-box 360 is making is debut at one minute past midnight tonight.We got 4 of the good ones with the hard drive and 10 of the not so great ones ( I have no idea the specifics of each ..lol ).At 11:00am, four men( either late teens or early twenties) showed up ,two of them toting folding chairs,sack lunches,and drinks.They were told as long as they stayed in line until 10:00 pm they would hand out numbered cards and they could then roam around until midnight.These guys were determinded to be the first four to get this unit.Ten more people showed up, popped a squat, and prepared to wait it out for the night.When I left work at 5:30 there were more people then we had systems. Management told the guy over electronics department to let these people know that we only have 14 units so they didn't wait for nothing.Not one would budge.lol They are all waiting , hoping someone will get sick of waiting and fall out of line.It amazes me ..lol I can honestly say that I have never wanted anything THAT badly.I was thinking about it at work today,trying to figure out what I would wait in line for over 12 hours for.Maybe if they had a really nice computer on sale for like a hundred dollars..lol I just may have to get my chair and cooler and go camp out somewhere for that one..lol Is there anything that you have or would camp out at a store for ,if so what was it and how long did you have to wait ?

Pumpkin Fudge..mmmmmmmm!!!!!

I found this recipe in the October issue of my Southern Living magazine. I absolutely LOVE pumkin so I was very willing to try this one out. It turned out tasting awesome but I got impatient and did not cook it long enough, so it was not as hard as fudge is supposed to be. I had a friend from work tell me that some place locally makes pumpkin fudge and gives tours of the place. They said when making pumkin fudge you have to cook it to almost cracking stage because the pumkin is so mushy to begin with. I have the stuff to make another batch and so I will be trying again soon. Well I thought I would share the recipe will all of you so here it is.Let me know if you try and what you think.


Line pan with aluminum foil before you begin to cook the fudge.Once the candy thermometer reaches 234 degreesand the remaining ingredients are added,quickly spoon the fudge into the pan.



3 cups sugar
3/4 C. melted butter
2/3 C. evaporated milk
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
2 tablespoons corn syrup
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1(12-ounce) package white chocolate morsels
1(7 oz.) jar marshmallow cream
1 cup chopped pecans,toasted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract


STIRtogether first 6 ingredients in a 3 1/2-quart saucepan over medium-high heat,and cook,stirring constantly,until
mixture comes to a boil.Cook,stirring constantly,until a candy thermometer registers 234 degrees (soft-ball stage)or for about 12 minutes.

REMOVEpan from heat:stir in remaining ingredients until well blended.Pour into a greased aluminum foil-lined 9-inch square pan.Let stand 2 hours or until completely cool;cut fudge into squares.Enjoy :)

Skate Night

Last Tuesday Guppy,little one, and I went to the skating rink with the church.Little one had a skating injury a few years back and was shy of skating for a bit ,but it didn't take her long at all to get back on the skates and get going.We took her skating a little while after she got her sling off her arm and she was real skittish ,which was totally understandable.Guppy just wanted to get her out there so she would not stay scared of it .She would mostly walk around on them unless he had her hand .She has a skating class at her day care which she took ,and boy did it show.Tuesday she was skating around the rink like a pro .It was so awesome to see her having so much fun.She was smiling from ear to ear.She was loving the fact that she recognized some girls from her church class and play practice.We may have to start going on more Tuesday nights.Apparently it is Christian music night and seeing as that is what we usually listen to it is perfect.Little one knows a lot of the songs so she was skating around singing along to them ..Too bad I didn't bring the video camera.I did get to take some pictures but it seems that my camera is not conducive to dark places with movement ..lol So here was the best of the bunch ..Enjoy and have a great Monday !!

That is right ..I am declaring it my official "pimp my tenant day"...I have the wonderful pleasure of renting to my awesome MIL...Which is pretty funny because that would so never happen in real life..lol I would love for her to enjoy her stay and hope that she too.. enjoys the view from up there .I invite each and every one of you to go give her a visit.She is starting out in the blog world but has taken to it rather nicely.It did not take her long at all to become quite addicted...She blames Guppy and I of course...I think it is great .I love spending time with her and this gives us something else to talk about ..lol So please join me in celebrating my "pimp my tenant day " .....LOL Have a great Sunday all!!!

Time flies when you are in love ....

It seems like only yesterday that we were planning our wedding.I can not believe that we have already been married one year.We waited so long for certain things to go through so that we could be husband and wife that when it finally happened it was awesome.It made it so much worth while and that much sweeter.We had the wedding of both of our dreams.I still watch the wedding video and get choked up.lol It was so great that lil one was able to be in it .I remember her coming and joining us during our first dance.Her with tears in her eyes as she said ..."They are happy tears." She looked so beautiful...like a lil angel.I am so glad that I love that man even more today then I did that day ,and I didn't think that possible.He amazes me each and every day.He is so attentive,caring,compassionate,and just easy going.I know I told the story before, about him going to get the car one year when we were Christmas shopping and it was raining.He pulled up to the front of the store and got out and opened my door, like he always does ( even though it was pouring) .Some lady standing with her husband smacked him and said "Do you see that ,you never do that for me!!!" It was funny.

We had a great day yesterday.....We went to my Dr. appointment and then my eye Dr.I told him that I was sorry we had to spend the first part of "our day" going to Dr.'s.Being the sweet man that he is ..he of course tells me that Any time spent with me even if at the Dr., is sweet.I love that man.After the doctor visits were over we started our shopping journey.We love redecorating and we love shopping together.So what a perfect way to spend our anniversary.Gup came up with the thought of us decorating our bedroom for each others gifts.Have I mentioned that man is brilliant also?We had the best time going from store to store looking for the perfect bedding.We finally found what we were looking for at Sears.Oh my,Egyptian cotton is the way to go ....man it feels good.We ended up with chocolate brown,cream,and a burnt orange color.We realized afterwards that we pretty much bought our wedding colors..lol They look great though .We are going to get paint today..We will have to take pics of the progress and let you see..The walls are going to be chocolate brown with cream trim.I am so excited about it ..It is going to become our romantic retreat.At the last house the room was left undone while the rest of the house got redone and we didn't want that to happen here .The next room will be little ones ..She is still throwing around a few ideas in her head of how she wants her room to be.I am thinking we may just need to take her shopping and let her see what is out there .Anyway,I got off subject here so i will end my post...

An Apology to the former wife

Well it seems that Guppy's ex wife has Googled him and found me through him .In doing that she read the post where I was angry with her about lil one's refusal to use a public toilet.I wanted to take this time to apologize to her about getting angry and saying hurtful things.She was right about "God not liking UGLY" as she put it.I should have kept my opinion to myself and prayed about it.I was frustrated and angry and said things I shouldn't have.I do want to address some things while I am here though....

Maybe you are totally incorrect in what you think the problem is. How about not pointing the finger at her mom. What are you the evil Step Mom. You stupid BITCH! Your step daughter has NEVER went to public bathrooms easily since the first day she started being potty trained. It is a phobia that was not caused by her mom.

I have taken Heather to public restrooms for a few years with no problems at all.She may have had issues when she was younger but I didn't know that because at four and five she was fine.

Well, I have known Heather and her "bitch mother" for about 10 years now and She has never said anything bad about you.... You must be ashamed (remember God doesn't like UGLY). I have personally taken Heather to a public bathroom and she goes just fine for me.... I wonder if you should point the finger at yourself instead of her mother. Since I have known her mother I have also known that she is not a phyco nor a bitch and maybe you should just settle in at second place and get over it. Or maybe if you gave her half a chance you would see the person that she really is and not rely on the comments of a bitter EX husband.


I wanted to say I never called her a bitch as it has been said a few times in this comment.I only got my opinion from what Heather told me herself.She would cry and say that she was scared because her mother scared her.She never changed that story after asking her several times.Guppy called Shawna and asked her if she knew what was up with that and she admitted to teasing her about it and said Heather teased her also.I do not form my opinions from her "bitter EX husband" .He is not even close to being bitter but instead very grateful to Shawna.He also does not talk ill of her..he chooses not to talk about her at all.I formed my obviously wrong opinion from little one and my observation, and for that I apologize.Second of all I am not competing for 1st,2nd, or 3rd place with Heather..That is not the case at all .I think she can be loved by everyone involved and that is great.I would never want to try and take the place of her mother.That is not cool nor would it be healthy for her.I am here to be the best stepmother I can be for her and help her grow to be a healthy,strong,emotionally stable adult.That is what I want.I do not want for this journey of raising her together,separately, to be a long bitter one at all.I have often admired Shawna for her strength to raise a little girl on her own.I know how hard it gets on this end at times with two of us.So please do not form an opinion of me(calling me evil and a stupid bitch) from one post that I wrote in anger and frustration( we had been very recently dealing with the potty issue)...I am sure God would not approve of that either.Also if you have the problem solved with taking Heather to the restroom please do share that ..I think for Heather's sake that would be beneficial to everyone involved.I also invite you to feel free to comment as much as you would like to on my blog but please do not hide behind an "Anonymous"...Be proud to show who you are if giving me your opinion.Thanks for sharing your views and please accept my apology :)

Feeling under the weather :(

What in the world does that mean anyway ? I know it means feeling sick or not exactly up to par ,but where in the world did that come from?Was someone standing under a tornado and thought to themselves...You know I am feeling bad here ..hey haha I am feeling under the weather?So bizarre,so bizarre...Anyway ,whatever it means or where ever it came from ..I am feeling it.I woke up this morning at 6:24 to be exact ...on a SATURDAY !!! that is unheard of uless I am going to catch a flight.I woke up not being able to breathe..My throat hurting and not being able to swallow because my mouth was bone dry.Not a good feeling.So I got up and made me some hot tea with honey and lemon and blew my nose about a hundred and fifty times in a row..I felt like I was trying to break a record or something ...I got to feeling better though and now the later the day gets the worse I am feeling.Man I don't want to be sick ...Everyone send me prayers,good thoughts,garlic,OJ whatever you think will help would ya?..lol Uggghhhh!!!I can not afford to get sick ...I hate being sick and further more...I do not want to be sick..I hope all of you had a great Saturday!!If none of this makes sense or I have typos or spelling errors...please forgive me ..I am feeling under the weather remember?That means I am to lazy to proofread...Ok I am going to make me some tea and lay down now....Ciao

Where has the time gone?

How in the world did it get to be November 2005 already?Man the older I get the faster time flys.I wonder if that seems to be so, because as you get older you usually have more things to do.. then you have time in a day .Also the older you get the more precious time seems to be.You appreciate things a little more.Wouldn't it be so nice if that started at an early age ..Started when you had all the time in the world to stop and enjoy life ...back when your biggest responsibility was to make sure you got your homework done and kept your room clean.Oh to be young again with the knowledge and appreciation for life that I have now.
