God is so faithful

Yesterday was awesome. Guppy had been wondering if his Baptism as a child actually counted. He was not sure what God's view on Baptism was and we had been praying for God to reveal to him what it was. We went and picked lil one up from her mom's to take her. She had been wanting to see a Baptism for awhile now and she was super excited to finally get to. I love her excitment about experiencing God, it is so awesome. Anyway the coolest thing about it all, was this...We get to church and the sermon was called...Did my Baptism count? It was awesome and so very informative. The pastor revealed to Guppy exactly what he had questions about. He was ready right then to run up with the three people getting Baptised and do it then I am so happy that God answered that prayer with a sermon just for Gup ...That is what it felt like anyway

He has his Baptism packet and will be doing that this year ....I will have to take lots of pictures and maybe video tape it and try to post that. I think the next set of Baptisms are in June... I wanted to post the sermon link on here incase there were others out there that have questions about Baptism... Don't just listen to what the pastor has to say and draw your conclusion though ...Read the verses that talk about it and pray. God will reveal to you what it is he means by it. Little one is wanting to get Baptised but she is still not fully aware of what it all means yet. We are teaching her that the most important thing is to first accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. To know he died on the cross for your sins ...and that by his Grace you are saved. She is still young though and we have great hope for her. She is so hungry for the knowledge and she loves Jesus already. It is so awesome to watch. I think the greatest thing you can ever do as a parent is help develop and guide your child spiritually. In the end...Nothing else will really matter. It will not matter how big of a house you lived in , what toys you were able to buy them many trips you can take them on ...but what you taught them about Christ will mean everything. How you helped them along on thier own spiritual journey is what counts.

Anyway ....have an awesome Sunday!!!! Please do not forget to go check out my tenant :)

here is a link to that sermon..... Did my Baptism Count? ( this link will be in there after today...maybe tonight ...they will not post it to the web until after all thier services for today are over..So if you are reading now and interested in hearing it please come back for the update with the link ...Thanks )

  1. I love hearing story's about how our Heavenly Father works.
Many times He answers our questions before we even ask them!

Did it hurt much when you got your tongue pierced? I have often wondered about that. Also, does it get in the way. What is the biggest problem you have with it?
I don't plan to have it done, just curious.

  2. Woo-hoo Guppy!!! What a great way to wind down my Sunday. Isn't it cool the way that God zings you with those 'sermons' about what you really were wanting to know?? Thanks for the post, Stormii! God Bless you and Guppy

  3. Great news my friend :). I am happy for you that God answered your prayers in just obvious way.

Yes, our God listens and he answers somehow. I'm glad that Guppy is learning at a young age. God bless you and your family.

    Heart warming post Present Storm!
And excellent advice. Search the scripture and pray over a sermon. God teaches all of us, in His time if we allow Him to.

    Have a wonderful week!

  8. I am soo happy to read this post! How awesome was the timing of that Sermon! And I am so happy for Guppy!! I was baptised last October. It was an amazing experience. I tear up when I see people get baptised. Even when I saw my own on the DVD they provided us with.

    Many Blessings!

  9. Guppy, welcome to the Family :) Wasn't that overwhelming peace that passes understanding wonderful?

I still remember my baptisim...37 years ago.

  10. My 8 yr old Twin boys are saved and ready for baptism. This will take place in the coming months.

They like to get on stage at church to sing their little hearts out, it never fails to bring me to tears.

    God is soooo Good!

  11. Just checking in with you :) - Hope eveything is okay. Or maybe you are just on vacation :)

  12. Don't you love it when God answers questions and prayers like that?! It's a beautiful example of how He really is caring for us. :) Congrats Guppy, I'm so happy for you!
