Nacho Supreme

Most of you that have been reading my blog for awhile know that I have changed my eating habits to omit ALOT of sodium from it due to me being on blood pressure meds .
Well by the results of my blood work I have been doing the right thing because my BP was awesome and my sodium intake was normal ...Yeahhhhh!!!Anyway my new diet that I put myself on consists of NO pills ...just healthier choices .It is a lot like the weight watchers diet in that you can have whatever you want you just have to do it in moderation.Well I absolutely love Mexican which is very high in sodium ....so in order to remain able to eat it I have to modify it a bit .So last night we were all wanting nachos so I decided to do a little modifying to suit my needs.It turned out SOOOOOOO yummy .I bought some portabella mushrooms and sauteed them in extra virgin olive oil ...absolutely no spices at all, they have a great flavor of their own.I used that instead of meat and added tomato and avocado which is a veggie that is extremely low in sodium.It does have fat but it is the good fat.A very little bit of refried beans just enough to get the stuff to stick to the chips and a little bit of cheese ( this is were I splurged a little ...most cheese is high in sodium ) and sour cream on top ...mmmmmmmmmm I strongly suggest anyone trying this recipe it was truly fantastic and I will be eating this one again ...probably for lunch today :)

New alarm clock ?

I woke up this morning to the sound of KKKRRRRKKKRRRRRKKRRRRR right outside my window.
I was like what in the world and then it dawned on me .It was a hot air balloon right above the roof .We were all suppose to go watch the hot air balloons launch for Ballunar Fest but ,I being the non- morning person that I am, was so tired and opted to stay sleeping rather than go :( I regret that desicion now but at the time it seemed the best one ..lol I Got dressed real fast and went outside .Man this thing was like barely above the trees .It was very cool .They were so low you could holler up to them and talk probably .I called Gup on the cell and he was on his way home but they kept stopping .Apparently if you go up to the balloons that have landed in all the different spots they give you trading cards .Lil one was SO excited .She was saying " this is the best day of my life " ..Wow ..lol I think she really likes going and checking out the balloons with her daddy every year.She came home and showed off her cards ...she was so proud ,it was cute .She now has something to put in her new little pink purse.

Joyce Meyer

I love listening to Joyce Meyer.I love the way she will just tell you like it is .She definately does NOT sugar coat what she is trying to get across to you at all .She is so inspirational to me .I like to listen to her in the morning while Gup is in the shower and I am doing my makeup .He is not as fond of her as I am ,so that is why I listen to her while he is doing other things .I listened to one of her "sermons" today that was just awesome .I called my mom and was talking about what she had said and how true it was and on and on .Well my mom missed it and I was thinking ...'you know, they gave a website. I wonder if they have the sermons uplaoded to the website for viewing' ( I just recently realized that my own church website offers that as well ) .
Well I went there and they DO offer the sermons ...I was like yeahhhhhh!!! I felt like I hit the jackpot and thought I would share the links with you guys :)
I also thought that her work in Africa was interesting so I am posting a link to it also for those of you that might want to go check that.I know my MIL has a soft spot for those over in Africa .Actually she has mentioned wanting to join the Peace Corp after visiting Africa .I think if it wasn't for her family she really would .

Calgon take me away ....

Oh I am so tired of shit .I am tired of guinea pig shit ..I am tired of Gizmo shitting everywhere .How can so much shit come out of a puppy that only weighs 8 lbs .? Luckily our 100lb dog knows to use the potty OUTSIDE..How can so much stink come from such a small little turd ?How come he roams the yard and pees and then jumps around playing or runs to the door .I bring him in and next thing I know he has shit in the house .This morning he made a nice little poop circle in the hall ..five turds all in a perfect circle ..What the hell is that about?I don't know and I really don't care ..I just am ready for hubby to come home and deal with it for awhile .I put the puppy in it's kennel today and it escaped ...What next from this little shitter ? I am off to take a nice looooonnnnnnng hot shower ...Hopefully I will come out in a much better mood ...Atleast it will smell better in there ...God where is my febreeze .....shhhhhhhhhhhhessssshh it reeks in here .How can such a small turd smell that bad for so long after it is removed ? Maybe I should submit that one to the burning question....Ok Calgon ...I am on my way !!!!!!!!!!!

My dogs think they are cats ...

Both of my dogs think they are cats ....After using the bathroom they take their back legs and push the grass like they are trying to cover it up like a cat .I have never seen a dog do this and now I have two that do it ...I am wondering if that is normal dog behavior and I just always had abnormal dogs up til now? They also both get a mouth full of food ...walk to a different room drop it on the ground and then eat it .What is up with that ? Does anyone elses dog do this?Oh yeah and for an update on the new dog ( Gizmo) and Daizii ...they are getting along great now .They love to play tug of war,which is so cute because of the size difference .Gizmo pulls with all he has and Daizii just stands there ..lol We have some pics of it that I will have to post when I get a little more awake ...Have a great Thursday and don't forget it's BB night ( yeah like any of us would forget that ..lmao )

Google Talk !!!

Google has come out with an instant messanger called Google Talk.

I just recently got my gmail account so I am not at all sure how great this news is ...So far I have my hubby added to my list .If I do not get more contacts soon I will not be keeping it .I do not see the point .If any of my blog buddies have it my e-mail is presentstorm@gmail.com ..Go ahead and add me if you want :)

Although we can not get the invites to go through to each other .I am not sure if it is screwed up or just being slow because of a lot of traffic ..Anyone else having this issue?

Also if anyone is wanting a gmail account just e-mail me and I will have Gup send you an invite .He has 47 invites to give out . For some reason my account did not give me any to give out :( I feel so unimportant ...lmao

Feeling better and BB6 update

I am feeling so much better then I did monday night .I am still not ready to go back to work. Yesterday I could not stand or sit for to long a period ..I laid down mostly and put a heating pad on.There is nothing they can do for it really .Rest is basically it.Luckily I have a strong immune system because I am a fast healer .I think I will be ready for work either tomorrow or friday .I just do not want to go back too early and injure myself worse .I have to do alot of lifting so I do not want to chance it until I am ready .Thank you all for the nice comments :).It is nice to know there are people that care out there, ya know .

Ok on to Big Brother .I did get to watch it and I was bummed that James got it .He didn't take all the ropes off and should have got a time penalty for that in my opinion .Although at this point in the game I hope he wins the whole thing ( after Janelle leaves of course ) .Just because everyone in the house was to stupid to get him out .Including Kaysar I hate to say :( .Everyone got too focused on stupid stuff at the beginning and let James pretty much walk away with the game now .It was very stupid of Beau to let James play for veto ..Although it worked o ut for Beau since James did not use it .I am hoping that Howie goes as much as I hate to say that .I would just love Rachelle to stay to get on Ivettes nerve ....lol I also think that Janelle and Rachel are must smarter than Howie .I am hoping that thursday Janelle gets HOH and puts up Ivette and Maggie .One of those two need to go .

I had to go back to work last night to get ready for yet another inspection at work .I have fallen behind with my help being gone for over a month so I was trying to play catch up .I went back in at about 7pm and at about 9:15 I got this awful pain in my abdomen area ...At first I was like ok this will pass in a minute and continued to try and work .I even tried using the bathroom thinking it was a gas pain or something ,although an intense one it was .I tried for about another 15 minutes or so to push past the pain and work .Part of my job is very physical and it was killing me to try and continue working .I was on the verge of tears it hurt so badly .So I call Guppy and tell him to go ahead and come get me .Thank God he had driven me to work ( I have a hard time seeing at night while driving ) because I do not think I could have driven home last night .It was THAT painful .I get home and go straight to the bed to lay down .It hurt to breathe ,it hurt to stand .It was very painful .I was initially worried my appendix had ruptured or something .I laid down and realized it felt much better ...I drifted off to sleep .I woke up this morning with every intention to go into work .That was not happening .I woke up to pee this morning and I was still in alot of pain .So Guppy called work for me while I slept and then we got up to go to the ER .Let me just say I do not go to the hospital often so for me to do that I really have to think something is the matter .Well every since I found out that I had high blood preasure I have been scared to go to the Dr. period ..Anyway that is another story ..lol I have really been working on not fearing things but trusting in God .I called my mother this morning and we prayed .I also repeated my favorite verse for me .I do not have a spirit of fear ,but of power,love,and a sound mind over and over .We get to the ER and they were busy .Had a few critical patiients so we waited about an hour .That was fine it gave me even more time to pray .I was really working on my faith .That is something that I struggle with when it comes to myself for some reason .I am much better at having faith for others .They take me back and my blood preasure is awesome .Praise God ...I was excited .I expected it to be elevated with my slight anxiety .They check me over and let me know it is not apendix or gallbladder .Praise God for that too ....They take urine and give me an I.V. and take quite a bit of blood for lab work .I had calmed down my nerves a bit after my BP was good .Blood work got me a lil anxious again but Guppy and I kept saying out loud .It is going to be ok .By the blood of Jesus I am I /you are going to have a report from the Lord and it is going to be good .We waited what seems like forever but I think it was about 35 minutes or so .Dr. returns and says .....Your blood work is excellent ..YEAHHHHHHHHHH PRAISE GOD !!! THANK YOU LORD ...Man I wanted to get up and kiss that DR. I did however say to him "YOU ROCK!!!".lol The lady that had taken my blood asked if I was taking vitamens and I said no .She seemed suprized by that because my blood was so good and my iron counts and some other stuff was so good .I told her that since I was told that I had high blood preasure I have totally changed my eating habits and I eat much healthier .She told me it really shows in my blood work .I was wayyyyy excited that my determination and life style change is showing in my health :) I am so excited that Jesus answered our prayers that I am going to be ok .Come to find out I just pulled a ligament in my abdomen/groin area .Apparently my manager and Co manager are upset at me for calling in today ...the day of the inspection but you know what .I will pray for them tonight because my health is so much more important then that job .I take my job seriously don't get me wrong ....but my health is much more important then that ..I can always find another job is how I look at that .( excuse any misspellings or gramatical errors ..this was typed without planning or thought or even proofreading .. Just a very raw post ) ....

Yesterday I was going through the online birth announcements for the little po-dunk town in Kentucky that I lived in before moving here three years ago.It was like on their official website .Anyway, I have a few friends that I have not really been in contact with recently that I knew were expecting .It is such a small town chances are that I would know quite a few in the paper .Turns out that I did not know any ...lol My,the things that have changed since I moved.I did, however,see these two quite interesting (to say the least ) names in there ..I copied and pasted the whole thing .I swear I am not making this up ..lol

How in the world could we resist these eyes ?

The Chuppah

If I have any Jewish readers they will probably know what this is .For those of you that do not ,I will explain . I was talking to my blog buddie Butterflyinjesus ( if you do not know who she is go over and visit ..she is awesome .)about some of the Jewish influence we incorperated into our wedding .The chuppah being the biggest one .I have my mother to thank for this ,it was her idea .I had no idea what a chuppah was until she suggested it and explained to me what it was .Now I think my wedding would have not been complete without it .Our wedding party each had a side and they held it up as we stood under it and people walked through it to give us blessings . We handed out little flyers to explain what we were doing and this is what it said :

A good friend of my mother and sister in Christ made this Chuppah and hand painted it for us .I am forever grateful ..It turned out beautifully .
I also wanted to include for those of you that have not already seen these ,the link to our wedding vows that guppy posted for our friends and family to read(this is best viewed in IE ..for some reason Firefox jacks it up pretty good ) .Alot of family wanted a copy because we cried all the way through our vows and most could not understand them ..lol I am so happy that we decided to write our own .We were so boo-hooing though because neither of us had heard the others until the moment we actualy read them ..lol So it got very emotional .

As a side note ...We are not Jewish we are Christian,but in essence aren't we all Jewish ?..

What is wrong with people ??????

We go to the bank today and pull in to the lane that is right at the window .While we are waiting for the teller to count the money and send it on through , I look over and see a piece of gum on the wall, right next to the little metal thing that you put your slips in .WHAT the heck possesses people to stick their nasty ass, chewed up ,has their gross spit on it gum, on things?Especially the brick on the wall of this nice bank ....Not even a bank ..It is a credit union ..WHY are people so gross...Why do people put gum under tables,chairs ,and where ever else they can think of .Did peoples parents not teach them to dispose of gum properly as a child ?What is the deal ?How hard is it to do like I do, when I am done with some gum,I take a piece of paper ,I put my gum in it ,fold it up ,and throw it away .Is that sooooo hard to do ?What is wrong with people?Do any of you stick your gum in bad places ?If so I am so wanting to hear the reasoning behind it ......

Ok anyway ...the other day he is helping this pig farmer ..They had to clean up the poop,clean the nursery , clip the baby pigs teeth ,give them shots in the neck ...All that I could see the importance of ..It all seemed logical to me .What they did later with the adult pigs is what had me baffled ..He put the male up on a "dummy" and while one guy jacked the pig off the other collected the semen ..Ok that is weird enough .Then he goes to the female and hops on her back ..brushes off her vulva ,inserts a cath and proceeds to squirt the males semen inside this female.
My question is why in the world ( oh did I mention that they had the male strut back in forth in front of her to get her "ready" ) so why in the world do they not take the one female and put her in the pen with the male and let them mate?Ummmmmm how on earth did pigs survive before man was able to jack them off into a cup ..That just seems so bizarre and so not natural to me .I am sure there MUST be some reasonable explanation for this procedure and I am soooo curious to hear what it is ..lol Any clue ya'll?

I am so disgusted with the whole thing ....

Hypothetically speaking of course ..

Ok ...You have a child that has been in private school their whole life .They have had the same teacher since kindergarden .The whole school consists of 12 kids and the childs actual grade has 4 ,all being the same sex ( that is just how it worked out ,it is a co-ed school ) . This school goes up to 4th grade only .So that means the child will get their first taste of public school in the 5th grade ..So my question is ....When do you think A child that starts in private school should be transitioned into public school ...Now keep in mind that money is not at all an issue ...I am curious to get everyones opinion on this .

Last nights dinner

I realized today that I haven't had hardly any traffic at all this weekend .I am assuming everyone is busy with family and out doing cool weekend activities sooooo .I am posting mindless babble ..lol This is what I made for dinner last night it was yummy :)I started with some sweet onion,mushroom,and oregano and sauteed it in extra virgin olive oil .



Then I added some extra lean ground beef ...



Then my secret ingredient ..I love this sauce the best when I do not have time to make my own ,which is always these days ...lol Ohhhhh the days when I had time to make my own sauce and simmer it all day ...Oh well .This is very good also ..



Here is a picture of my bowl .I sauteed some zucchini with a little garlic powder,basil,oregano in extra virgin olive oil and added it to mine .(lil one and hubby do NOT like zucchini )



Here is a picture of hubby's bowl after sprinkling some freshly grated parmesean and ramono on it .It was so Yummy that we had it for lunch today as well :)

Ok raise your hand if you want to take April and smack Jenny with her ..What a pair of liars ..OMG !!!!!Atleast with the good side (meaning Kaysar,Janelle etc...) they will do what they say they are going to do .They will just not say if they are about to ambush you ..I am really upset at Kaysar for believing the she devil herself ..On the live feeds the bad side is talking about backdooring Kaysar instead of James ..You know what ....If that happens then I am rooting for James all the way ..NOT because I like the guy ,because I can't at all ...But he would deserve it because everyone else is so damn stupid ..OHHHHH I am so annoyed now ...Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! When did our 7 year old turn 15 ?

Ok since when did this little girl that I use to lay clothes out for and totally do her clothes shopping while she was in school turn into lil miss gotta be cool looking?
She starts second grade monday and is just cracking me up with some of the things she has said and done this last week since returning to us from her mom's .Her mom took her clothes shopping for their supplies ....(Lil one has a totally different life here and there ..her own room with her own clothes and toys on both ends they do not go back and forth) ...anyway ... She comes home with this cute little book bag from the GAP.Well she decides last night when we had to run to the grocery for a few things she is going to wear it ...We had to inform her that it is not something you wear to the grocery store it is to put school supplies in for school ..I made the terrible mistake of calling it a backpack . She informed me real fast it is a BOOK bag NOT a backpack.Also that she wanted to "look cool " since when ?...Also this got me the most ,I have never seen this side of her at all ,she wanted to keep the GAP tags on the backpack.

Me : "Um,Heather don't you think we should take these tags off here ?
Lil one :"Nooooooo,I want to keep them on there "
me:"why in the world would you want to do that ?Do you see tags still on my purse?"
lil one :I want everyone to think that it is new and see that it is from the Gap ."

I look at Guppy ( we laugh at people like that and call them label whores ) and I say in a whisper ...omg are we raising our own lil label whore?...He laughs and says "It looks like it " .

I am hoping that she grows out of that ..I mean it is ok to be successfull and to want nice things and certain brands are better then other I know this .There are certain things that I love by certain labels .BUTTTTTT I do not go around advertising the fact that they are bought from here and blah blah ...I have known people to be decked out in nothing but Tommy stuff Ambercrombie stuff ..That is nuts to be ..To each his own I guess but I would not want to raise a child to be such a snob ...


She has also decided what she is going to wear the first day of school and the second and what shirt will go with which outfit ..lol When did this happen ?What happened to needing me to help her dress ...*sigh* she is getting way to old way to fast ..

I think her theme song should be Lil Miss Independence ...lol

"Kaysar is telling about his birthday yesterday. He's depressed, feels "over the hill". Since he was sequestered, no family or friends, and got no presents. And he baked a cake for himself."

Ahhhhhhh that sucks that Kaysar had to bake himself a cake ..I bet he doesn't forget this birthday though ..lol

Blah!!!

I have no idea for a post ..I was not even going to but thought what the hell ..I had a hard day at work ...I am still by myself .I had some co-worker start an untrue rumor about me ..Ohhhh that annoys me ..WE are not in high school anymore people ...My feet are killing me ..Something I ate today gave me the runs ...TMI ..I am sure but hey ..it is how my day has went ..lol I am wore out and the highlight of my evening will be Big Brother although since my hubby found the live feed boards I already know what is going to transpire ...I really should stop letting him tell me ..lol I hope everyone reading this is having a good week ..I hope mine gets better ..lol oh and Yeahhhhh the 'nauts ' landed safely :) I am stoked about that ...Ok well feeling the way I do ..that is about it for now ....TTFN :)

Smart tips for savvy homeowners

My real estate agent is always sending us stuff in the mail( even though it has been a year since this house was purchased ) she is the coolest ...

The latest thing she sent was some helpful household tips .Some of them I have done myself and are very helpful so I thought I would share :)

* Have you ever tried baby wipes on carpet stains ?They work so well ,you'll be wondering why no one told you sooner !

*Keep candles in the fridge for several hours before use to slow down dripping and make them burn longer ( A friend of mine taught me this years ago ,but we put them in the freezer instead .)

*The best way to attack cooked -on spatters in your microwave :Heat a half-cup of water for two minutes on high . The steam will soften the food and the mess will wipe right out .

*To eliminate cooking odors ( fish,fried bacon,garlis ,etc.)heat white vinegar in an uncovered pot on the stove .( don't boil .)Remove after 30 minutes . The light vinegar smell dissipates quickly ,taking odors with it .

*When run through your coffee grinder ,a handful of dried rice will sharpen the blades .

*After your next party ,share flat,leftover beer with your garden.Plants love the yeast .

*Place unusable remnants of soap in a ventilated plastic beg and pack it away with seasonal clothes.This will keep the moths away ,and your clothes will smell much better when you take them out of storage .

*Ants hate anything spicy.Sprinkle ground pepper,cayenne,even cinnamon ,in their path,and you'll stop them in their tracks .

*Your chimney will stay clean if you throw a handful of salt on the fire .

*To clean tarnished silverware:Line a large cake pan with aluminum foil .Fill with 8 cups of warm water (150degrees)mixed with 1/4 cup of baking soda .Lay silverware in pan,and watch the stains disappear.

*Fill nail holes with paste made from cornstarch and water .Works just as well as a putty. ( I have used toothpaste it works well also )

*Leather needs to breathe ,so never hang coats or jackets in plastic .Instead,make a dust cover from a pillowcase by cutting a hole in the top for a hanger .

*When a wooden door or gate sticks ,bring out the hair dryer.By blowing hot air directly on the wood where it's sticking ,you'll remove the moisture and the swelling will go down.

*Squeaky doors?For a dripless solution,use petroleum jelly on the hinges instead of oil .

*Simmer a sliced apple and a couple of cinnamon sticks in water on your stove .
Your whole house will smell like apple pie ...MMMMMMMMM

6.The first time, I started dating him at 16 ,got married at 18 ,divorced him at age 27 .

8.We married last year on 11-11-04 .

9 .It was the best decision of my life .

10 . I proposed to him ,online, in an e-mail before we ever met in person.

11. All this was very out of character to me but it felt right .

12.Neither of us was looking for love , we were both unhappily married to others , but it just happened .

13.I miss under roos ....I had Barbie ones and wonder woman ones .

14. My heroes as a child were Daisy Duke , Wonder Woman ,and Barbie .

15. I am not a natural red head but often wish I was .

16 . I was Born in Kentucky ,February of 1975.

17. I moved to Las Vegas , Nevada when I was 6 years old .

18 . I stayed until age 17 .

19. I dropped out of school in my 12th grade year, last semester ,after making the A/B honor roll.

20. It was not my intention to drop out at that point ,I moved from Vegas to be with my family again with my soon to be husband ( the now ex-husband ) .

21. I went to enroll in the school in Kentucky to finish my year and hated it 5 minutes after stepping foot in the school .

22. So at age 17 I made the stupid decision not to return to High School .

23. My ex-husband found a tutor that prepared people for the G.E.D. test ...

24. She pre-tested me and told me I did not need tutoring .

25. I took the G.E.D. test and aced it .

26. I was proud of that :)

27. They told us that the G.E.D. test was a harder test then those given as finals for the people still in school .

28. I am still not sure if I believe that or not but I am proud of myself for passing with flying colors .

29.I hate radishes .

30. I love tomatoes.

31 . I am allergic to everything it seems .

32. I was tested last year for allergies and I am allergic to about 50 or so things out of the 72 they tested for .

33. I currently get allergy shots every week to try and trick my body into thinking it is not allergic .

34. I love my Allegra ( my allergy meds ) .

35 . I also have allergy induced asthma which I have been able to keep very under control .

36. I have even taken myself off of my asthma meds and my breathing was the same ( yeah me !!!) .

37. I gave my life to Christ on July 11th 1993 .

38. My husband gave his life to Christ November 13th ,2002 .

39. I have never been more proud of him .

40. I collect Barbie .

41. I grew up with a pool in my backyard .

42. I loved it and wish I had one now .

43. I think I should have been a fish, I love being in the water .

44. It is one of my very favorite places to be .

Drive by ...

I witnessed a drive by peeing ...At work today I went to the little girls room ...TMI I know ..lol anyway ,I was sitting there doing my business and in comes this little person ( I could tell by the voice and the foot stomping ) ...next I see these two little feet in the stall next to me facing the toilet ..I am thinking ahhhhh someone brought thier lil boy in here to potty ...Wrong, apparently he was alone and singing a lil tune all the while ...lol Anyway he steps into the stall next thing I know a stream of pee comes shooting out from under the stall straight towards my feet ..lol At first I jumped then I had to giggle ...he peed and was gone in about 4 seconds I am not kidding ...he must have wipped it out, did his bidness and took off ..If I had not been in the big stall I would have had a very wet shoe ..lol There was no shaking , no flushing , no hand cleaning ...lol I think maybe next time his mommy may want to join him, and I am thinking daddy may want to teach the boy some aim ..lol ...




It is a good thing he did not have to poop ..lol

Well today I went back to work ( I was off sick for three days ) .I was actually pleasantly surprised that my work ,well some of it , had been done and not just left for me to do .Seeing as that is usually the case when I am out .What I do find funny though ,is this . They left all that work piled ( I heard by everyone today that it was A LOT ) for me until yesterday . Apparently yesterday my boss got four people to come do what he told me last week he believes I can do myself ...Lmao funny how that works eh !!!

We switched beds last night ....Ok it sounds kinky but really it is innocent ..lol
We had a king size bed that we have been wanting to get rid of ..It is long overdue trust me ..lol Plus it was Guppy and his former wife's so you can see why I am more then willing to get rid of it can't you ?We took the one that his mother gave us for the guest room and put it in our room ... I will have to admit ,it was MUCH more comfortable then the one we had before ...But......It seemed so very tiny to us .She says it is a queen we were thinking more like a full ..lol We sleep cuddled anyway but I love having pillows all around me and that is not happening in this one . We were both afraid we were going to roll over last night and fall off the bed ...lmao Luckily it did not happen ,so that is a good thing .

Wow it is August already . It seems that just yesterday we were all at MIL's having Christmas dinner . My how this year has flown by .Here is an article that my grandmother e-mailed me about them introducing a Bible course in some public schools in Texas ..I personally think it is about time . I am sure there are a lot of people outraged by this though .

Making Childhood Memories

I guess there comes a time in a little girls life when the instinct to become a good mommy sets in . That time is now for our lil Heather .She was four years old when gramma got her this doll for Christmas and she thought it was cool and all but didn't pay it really that much attention without a little coaxing .



I think all the adults were more intriqued by it then she was .It was cool that they could actually make a doll that looks like a child . They even go as far as to sell clothes that match and things like casts and wheelchairs and such . When Heather broke her arm skating gramma sent off and got a cast for Heidi as well . It was very cool that they could go through that together .

Here is a picture of them playing dress up together a few years ago ....




The last few years Heidi has been a few places like the Circus ( I will e-mail my mother _in _ law for some pics of that and post them ) Heidi and her both got their faces painted like clowns ,it was adorable . But over all Heidi has mostly just hung out in Heather's room .Well for the last week Heidi has been attached to Heather constantly ..She has finally taken an interest to her baby which is cool but comes at a time when all the clothes that they had that matched are to small for Heather now . MIL used to be able to get matching outfits for both fairly cheap at Old Navy but that only went to 4T ...Needless to say she is way out of that at age 7 so she is talking about ordering some clothes from My Twinn again but they are way expensive . My MIL really is a good sport .The cool thing about these dolls also is when your are to grown to play with your My Twinn anymore you can send it in and they will restore it back for you to keep for life . I think that is awesome . I am not really sure what the sole purpose of this post is ...lol So if I sound like I am rambling or the story does not flow well I apologize ...lol

Heather went in Sunday and dressed herself and Heidi before I had a chance to go in and lay her clothes out ( which I usually do ) When they came out to show me what she had picked for them she was so proud of herself I did not have it in me to tell her she was not matching at all ...Soooooo they ended up both going to the movies to see Charlie and the Chocolate factory dressed just like this ...lol Minus the medusa hair do ..I did brush her hair ..lmao

Here is a pic of the "matching " outfits ( no amount of convincing would get her to change them both into blue jeans instead of pink ) So we figured she is proud we will just let her be a kid and be the little proud mommy that she is :





For our wedding my MIL made Heather a lil snow princess cape and made Heidi one also ...Thay came out so cool ..I wish we had a pic of her and Heidi in them ..Maybe this winter before Heather outgrows hers . Here is a pic of it .These things were like 75 dollars at the bridal store and they were not even lined for warmth . My MIL lined it with soft fleece to keep her warm since we married in November in Kentucky .It was a lil chilly ..lol



Anyway I would suggest anyone that had thought about getting one to do it ..They are very cool and will last a lifetime .Heather is making great childhood memories with hers . My MIl even told me today that when Heather gets married she is going to make Heidi a lil wedding dress as well so she will have the doll she has had her whole life on the most important day of her life look like her once again .I think it is an awesome idea . I do not know about you but I have very fond memories of my favorite doll . She was a baby alive .Did any of you have one of those ? What was your favorite doll / toy as a child ?
